Your holiday in the charming Vipiteno

Vipiteno in summer

Rosskopf - Monte Cavallo is the leisure mountain of Vipiteno: In the summer it is ideal for both easy and difficult excursions, that the entire family can enjoy.

Our hotel in Vipiteno is located directly in front of the Monte Cavallo downhill station and therefore is an ideal starting point for trips.

There are also other sports that you can practice in Vipiteno and in the surrounding valleys in the summer: cycling, rafting, climbing, themed paths and much more. You can also visit numerous museums and castles, participate in traditional festivals, and purchase traditional South Tyrolean products at the weekly farmer’s market.

Vipiteno is the ideal destination for cyclists. From the extreme biker to the more laid-back one, from mountain bike trails to bicycle trails and even bicycle race tracks, Vipiteno and the surrounding area satisfy all needs. In fact, right in front of the hotel you can comfortably rent your e-bike!

Winter in Vipiteno: skiing, snow and fun

It can be described as “small, family-friendly, and fun”: Monte Cavallo-Rosskopf. A skier can find everything here: guaranteed snow, lots of sun, modern lifts, facilities for families and a wide variety of runs.

A very popular one is the 9.6 kilometre long illuminated toboggan run (the longest in Italy), that goes all the way to the downhill station of Monte Cavallo. Twice a week you can take a breathtaking night toboggan ride.

Even non-skiers can have fun on Monte Cavallo: winter walks, snow-shoeing, or a day in one of the traditional alpine refuge.

With just one skipass, “Alta Valle Isarco”, you can ski in three ski areas: Monte Cavallo, Ladurns, and Racines/Giovo.

Monte Cavallo is also part of the “Ortler Skiarena”, a ski area that combines 15 ski areas with about 300 kilometres of prepared slopes throughout South Tyrol.

Ski mountaineering and cross-country skiing lovers will find numerous slopes to enjoy in the valleys around Vipiteno.
